Living in the Present and Being Divine Flow

Welcome to the final foundation in the Spiritual Coaching Foundations series—Presence. This principle is not only profound in its simplicity but also deeply transformative when embodied in your professional life, personal growth, and spiritual journey. In this final piece, we explore what it truly means to live in the present, how presence can elevate your relationships and purpose, and how to weave this practice into your everyday experience with ease and intention.

What Does It Mean to Be Present?

Presence operates on two interwoven levels:

Living in the present

  • Presence (with a small “p”) is the conscious act of being fully here, now. It is the awareness that arises when you are not lost in the past or anxious about the future, but anchored in the moment.
  • Presence (with a capital “P”) refers to the Divine Life Force—God, Source, or Universal Energy—that dwells within you and flows through all of creation. You touch this sacred Presence when you quiet the ego and surrender to stillness.

As the sages remind us, “Be still and know that I am God.” In Presence, you don’t force power—you receive it. You don’t strive—you align.

Why Presence Matters

Living from Presence shifts every dimension of your life—how you lead, love, create, and connect. It becomes the spiritual ground upon which true transformation is built.

  • Focused Energy: When you are present, your energy is no longer fragmented by regret or worry. You become focused, intentional, and highly effective in your actions.
  • Divine Flow: Presence allows you to become a vessel for divine intelligence. Ideas, insights, and clarity come through you, not from you.
  • Gratitude and Contentment: You stop postponing joy. You begin to appreciate what is, not just what could be.
  • Inner Calm: Most conflict—internal or external—stems from ego-driven reactivity. Presence dissolves this by restoring stillness and clarity. As I’ve seen time and again, problems solved from ego tend to repeat; solutions birthed in Presence transform.

Simple Ways to Practice Presence Daily

You don’t need a silent retreat or hours of meditation. Presence is a way of being that begins with small, sacred choices:

Presence now

  • Focused Attention: Whether responding to an email, talking to a loved one, or eating your lunch, bring your full awareness to the moment. Let it be enough. Let it be sacred.
  • Feel More, Think Less: Drop beneath the noise of thought. Tune into your senses. What do you feel in your body? What do you hear, smell, see, taste? Let life in.
  • Conscious Breathing: The breath is your anchor to now. Pause. Inhale with intention. Exhale with surrender. Even a few conscious breaths can reset your vibration.
  • Invite Presence. In: Before meetings, conversations, or creative work, whisper: “Presence, work through me.” Light a candle. Offer a simple prayer. Open the space.

The Final Message

Presence is more than a technique—it is a spiritual lifestyle. It is how we embody grace, activate truth, and align with divine timing. When you live from presence, you stop chasing life and start co-creating it.

You become a conscious channel—guided by wisdom, rooted in love, and attuned to each sacred moment.

Here’s to living from presence—where your true power begins.
